Synopsis Arunachal Pradesh, literally meaning the "Land of the Rising Sun" occupies important position in India due to its strategic location. Earlier known as NEFA, this mountainous states endowed with rich fauna and flora and inhabited by different tribal groups caught the attention of Government of India only after Chinese invasion in 1962.
