Traditional Knowledge and Plant Resource of NE India: Barail Hill Range
The book is an outcome of a noble attempt in this direction undertaken through an investigative study during 2007-2011 which has resulted in the documentation of the Traditional plant resources and the Indigenous knowledge base on self sustained management practices of these plant resources confined among the ethnic groups of Barail Hill Range of Northeast India. The analysis of findings includes the impact of the traditional practices on flora and vegetation of the area and also the role played by the ethnic groups in conservation and management of plant resources of the area. Besides the elaborative notes on Traditional Knowledge, the first hand data on a total of 1102 samples of plants used and/or information on uses have been the basis of the present work.
