The twenty-five papers presented at an international seminar organised by the Centre for Buddhist studies, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan deal with contemporary topics in Buddhist studies. Referring to seminar publications, scholarly works and journals of societies/institutes like Pali Text Society Translation, London and including contributions of scholars like Prof. P. C. Bagchi to Buddhist studies, they focus on Buddhist literature in North-eastern states as well to analyse the problems and issues before the Buddhist samgha.
