Synopsis This book Management of Library and Information Centres is the fifth volume in the series of books on the UGC Model Curriculum being brought out by the author for the two year integrated M.LISc. Programme. This volume covers the following topics: 1. Management, 2. Human Resource Management, 3. Financial Management, 4. Reporting, 5. Systems Analysis and Design, 6. Total Quality Management, 7. As the aim of this book is to provide the course material for the Paper V: Management of Library and Information Centres, this book runs on the syllabus delineated in the Model Curriculum. To assist both instructors and students, a topical outline of the chapter content is given at the beginning as "synopsis". This will also help the students to refresh their knowledge before the examination. At the end of the chapter, questions are given for discussion and preparation under the head “Assignment”. Students are advised to prepare answers to these questions and keep ready for reference before the examination.
