Synopsis This book brings together contributions of distinguished scholars from different social sciences looking at different aspects of the phenomenon of ageing in the context of India. It represents a tryly multidisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of ageing and its nature. The various papers in this book provide a review of literature, identify the trends and gaps in gerontological research in the country as also suggest areas of concern for further research.
