Dr. Sarthak Chowdhury (b. 1959) graduated in Agriculture and M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agricultural Extension from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyataya, West Bengal. He received Ph. D. degree from Visva â€“ Bharati in 1988. His areas of specialization are Technology Transfer and Agricultural Communication. Dr. Chowdhury was lecturer in the Department of Extension Education, Institute of Agricultural Science, Banaras Hindu University fro April 1989 to August 1997. Presently he is serving as Reader in Agricultural Extension of Visva Bharati. Dr. Chowdhury who has a distinguished academic career, has several research publications to his credit, and is actively engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. He supervised the work of one Ph. D. scholar.
