Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC), responsible for management, upkeep, and improvement of the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya and for ensuring the welfare and safety of its pilgrims, around Kalachakra event in 2017 decided to commission a Coffee Table Book for positioning the Mahabodhi Temple and the holy land of Bodhgaya for the benefit of visiting pilgrims, travellers, and tourists. Through this illustrated volume, the BTMC decided to reach out to the those discerning Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike, across the globe, whose imagination of the holy land have not been able to overlap with its real captivating images. Also, for sharing a wholesome experience, the BTMC helps your imagination realistically walk beyond Bodhgaya, following the Buddha's footprints, to Rajgir, Nalanda, Patna, and Kesaria in Bihar; and further on to the other Buddhist pilgrimage in Sarnath and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, and to Lumbini in Nepal.
