Sasmitha R., M.Sc. (Ag.) has completed her post-graduation in the stream of agricultural extension and currently pursuing her doctoral degree programme in Extension Education in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. She has membership in many societies and published research and popular articles in the areas of therapeutic horticulture and natural resource management. Her principal interest include natural resource management and sustainable horticultural management. The prime research interest is in the area of horticultural management, conservation of environment, agricultural communication and rural development.

R. Arunachalam

Dr. R. Arunachalam, M.Sc. (Ag.), PhD (Agrl. Extension), is currently working as Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. He has specialization in Agricultural Communication and Natural Resource Management. As a teacher and scientists backed by over 25 years of field experience, he is associated with a number of academic bodies and research organisations in India. He authored six text books and more than twenty six booklets in the field of Agriculture and Rural Development. He has published 54 research papers and more than 75 popular articles in various national and international journals and magazines . He has handled six university projects as well as four externally funded projects under ICAR, UGC and DST. He has guided 32 research scholars (M. Sc.(Agri) and PhD students) in their research programme. He won many national and state level awards and recognition for his best performance in teaching, research and extension.
