A Peg of Perfidy
1992 Craig Trenton Distilleries Ltd, in the Scottish Highlands was the leading distillery in the region having garnered twenty three percent of the market-share; till an unforeseen and unprecedented calamity hit them. Within a span of one year, the sale of the ‘Glentrot’ Single Malt whiskey fell from six million litres a month, to a staggering low of two and a half million litres. More astonishing was that it became impossible to arrest the fall, the downward spiral unrelenting and unabated. Customer feedback had only one thing to say-it did not taste the same any more. Billy, the heir apparent, is called to assist in finding the reason for the debacle. As he begins his investigation he discovers the rot within, where the guardians of the distillery, those charged with protecting its growth, seem to be gnawing at its roots. He discovers that treason has reached its pinnacle, and the mafia has taken control, with the Mafiosi residing within. Will Billy be able to rescue Craig Distilleries from the greatest scandal of all time to have hit the highlands?.
