This book has been designed to cater the needs of undergraduates and postgraduates of State and Central Agricultural Universities studying vegetable science and horticultural science. This book has been framed to provide the principles for environmental and growth factors, seedling and graft production, nutrient and water management, organic and protected farming, crop protection, post-harvest management and marketing of vegetable crops. Every production aspect of 42 major and minor vegetable crops grown in the tropical and subtropical regions along with information regarding origin and taxonomy, importance and uses, botany, nutritional and medicinal values, plant protection measures and post-harvest management have been provided.
