The subject matter of this book is relating to rural cooperatives especially the rural credit and marketing societies and their impact on the Indian rural economy. An evaluation of cooperative legislation have also been made. It suggests that cooperative legislation should be made in such a form so that the cooperative movement would become free and democratic without any external disturbances in it and would guarantee economic development and the betterment of the condition of every member by full utilization of local resources through cooperative enterprises and everybody would think that the society is his own society instead of thinking it as Government society.
