Recombination breeding has proved its mettle by giving useful varieties, which solve the food and notional problem throughout the world. The evaluation of parents their first generation hybrids as well as second generation hybrids, segregating generations along with the evaluation of back cross progenies would give useful information for the development of high yielding genotypes. In this contest, a text book on Recombination breeding in crop plants would be useful to the researchers by evolving high yielding genotypes coupled with good agronomic performance. This book has written primarily for post-graduate students and researchers in plant breeding and genetics. The authors have attempted to write it so simple and comprehensive manner. The special feature of the book is the collection and presentation of literature related to recombination breeding in crop plants for mandate crops of India. Data have been given elaborately and have been discussed with the available literature.
