Inclusive Growth, Education and Gender Equity
This book “Inclusive Growth, Education and Gender Equity” is the modest attempt to make a critical examination of gender equity in respect of elusive growth and education. The government of India is very much sensitive to uplift the status of women through inclusive growth. The government has adopted a multifaceted development strategy to address the needs of the women by ensuring their basic rights at par the male partners, needless to name them all, however, education and equity related strategies have gained the popularity. Educational and equity programmes are right-based approach for the social and economic growth of such excluded women who have been a victim of gender discrimination since a long.
In recent years, Government has a significant role to uplift the women status through inclusive growth. A number of initiatives have been taken in the agenda of inclusive growth, like Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, Maternity Benefit, Sukanya Smridhi Yojana, National Nutrition Mission, Ujjwal Yojana and Programme of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
This book is valuable for policy-makers and women both, but it would be more valuable for researchers and students both. It would be also beneficial for those who are fond of learning in women studies.
