Limnological profile of the major reservoirs and strategies to improve the fish production in these reservoirs were discussed in vivid . The status and potential for applying fisheries management at small, medium and large reservoirs are reviewed with reference to the revised syllabus based on the fifth Deans Committee and ICAR policies as well as the socioeconomic setting and possible alternatives for management systems.
