This book has been devised to identify ways for better environmental governance towards sustainable development and protection of environment. We, as editors of this book, selected prospective contributions of the authors on the basis of their research. This book is basically a collection of various high quality research chapters, which altogether provide the means towards achieving sustainability in the environment and in its protection by emphasizing the relevant concepts. We have tried to encompass the on-going research papers, thoughts, views on this broad issue in general and its micro issues in particular. We have tried to maintain a balance between societal commitments towards environmental protection on the one and corporate governance on the other. The included chapters have been selected through the peer review process.
