The book presents a vivid picture of the prevailing position of education and employment of the Indian Muslim women in India. Tracing the history of occupation and education and the general education and employment introduced in Indian context and further promoted education and employment for women keeping in view the equal rights of woman and education and employment facilities as rights to them. Steps of successive Government of India are taken for the upkeep and progress of Indian women. If they follow the right path, obviously the poverty would be reduced and they would be able to move from lower middle class to upper middle class category. The book presents a literature based on psychological analysis. The socio-economic conditions of Indian Muslim woman, special attention for working Muslim women are analyzed here. The book presents that the Muslim community of India does not even today prefer the present system of generous educational and employment to their own traditional type living a life. This is awareness for Muslim women that they should know about legal complications. However the result is that the Indian Muslim women have lagged behind in education and employment vis-a-vis the women of other communities of the country. The socio-economic and legal complications did not change therefore the same ideology is imposed upon them to live poor life. The present situation raises a host of questions which are of interest not only to the sociologists but also to the psychologists and policy makers in the country. Besides examining these situations, the book also estimates the future damage if the present situation for Indian Muslim women is allowed to continue.
