Philosophy of A Common Man
Synopsis
This book is unique in many ways than one. It does not expound the principles of any school of philosophy as such. It purports to explain the philosophy adopted by a common man on the basis off the experiences and lessons learnt from the struggle of life, from the inter action with his fellow human beings as also with the nature, from the learned and knowledgeable and from his study of books. The topics discussed are varied, values of life, sense of good and evil, belief and non-belief in god, divinity and animality in thought, word and deed, culture and tradition and so on. The author endeavours to represent the common man and , therefore, the narration is partly autobiographical and partly based on reflections, deliberations and discussions on a variety of subjects and topics that interest a common man, consciously or otherwise, sometime or the other in his life. The book makes out a case that there is a lot to learn if one keeps one’s ears and eyes open to observe and study at every step. There is something or the other in this book for every type of reader, young and old, educated or just ordinary literate.
