Synopsis Dynamics of Agriculture: Problems and Prospects, is an analytical and correlative examination of various agricultural determinants to the agricultural productivity. The analysis focuses the impact of diffusion of Indian agriculture since 1971-1993. It provides philosophical outlook about the process of diffusion of agricultural innovations through some simulations and models. The analysis reveals the spatial pattern of agriculture land use, trend of agricultural development, technological development and agricultural rationalization based on crop combination, crop intensity and productivity Rs. per unit of area. Besides changing pattern of diffusion of innovations and its correlation with the agriculture determinants are also examined. The finding of the analysis at macro and micro level both reveal the positive correlation between the productivity of area and the adoptions of diffusion of innovations and its correlation with the agriculture determinants are also examined. Since, literacy play important role in readily acceptance of diffusion of innovations. Hence, governmental and non-governmental agencies are advised to increase the literacy rate through literacy mission. It offers paradigms, which may also be found helpful in carrying out similar analysis on the other regions in the country.
