House of India: The Unknown Story of Indo French Cooperation
For all students and young researchers, to leave their home country to discover and learn other cultures requires the best spatial conditions of everyday comfort. This book highlights the significant role played by architecture in the quality of education and research programs. The authors tell the story of the creation of the building of the India House, a joint Franco-Indian collaboration that finds its root in the foundation of the International University Campus of Paris. In 2013, the new building of the House of India opened its doors on the campus, and with it a new architectural era within a hyper contextual architectural style. The writings, drawings, photographs of Lipsky+Rollet Studio relate how the building is a precusor sustainable architectural design, inspired by Indian arts and architecture.
