Synopsis Well-trained dedicated teachers alone will be able to implement value education programme. If values are imbibed with a purpose, they will go a long way in making citizens of tomorrow and realise the dream of the egalitarian society described in the Constitution. For satisfactory execution of value education, the teachers must be equipped with the knowledge and skills which could be obtained from the literature on Value Education. The abstracts of the studies given in Part-I of the book under 18 sections throw light on the important studies conducted in Value Education. The references given in Part-II bibliography not only include all the studies given as abstracts but also some more important new references. This is done with a purpose of making bibliography adequate, comprehensive, exhaustive and more useful. The reader is expected not only to go through the abstracts in Part-I but also search for original sources in Part-II and read them to get first hand information.
