The idea of writing this book is to share with you all, my thoughts, ideas and opinions on the subject of Global warming, consequent climate change, diminishing biodiversity and impacts of all these phenomena on life on earth and in particular life of human beings. It is strongly felt that if we continue to do business as usual ignoring the warning signals being sent out at growing frequency by Mother Nature, ultimately survival of our planet is at stake and we could be on an irreversible path to extinction the sixth one in the history of our planet. The book also tries to address some of the corrective actions we all need to take to achieve sustainability by reversing the current trend. The latter part of the book tries to study the relationship between sustainability and leadership as it is felt that the quality of leadership is very crucial for the journey of humanity towards achieving sustainable growth which is essential for eradication of poverty.
