The book Apurvajyotih a Felicitation Volume in honour of Professor Apurba Chandra Barthakuria, a renowned Sanskrit scholar of Assam and the country is an anthology of research papers on different branches of Indology. Prof. Barthakuria served the department of Sanskrit Gauhati University for 35 years (1962-1997) and a few years on extension service. He has to his credit fourteen distinct books, all on different areas of Sanskrit Literature. Besides, being an educationist he is a great Sanskrit scholar of modern times.
