Mosses of Govind Wildlife Sanctuary (Uttarakhand), Western Himalaya, India
The book provides an original account of the mosses of Govind wildlife Sanctuary, Uttarakhand elucidating 210 taxa belonging to 113 genera and 33 families supported by 110 color plates. This work includes six species new to the bryoflora of India, 3 species new to Himalaya, 28 species new to Western Himalaya and 32 species new to Uttarakhand. The study aimed to provide base line information on the diversity of the moss and their status. The present study has been undertaken to exhibit an elaborate account of moss flora through extensive survey and collection of mosses from Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. An illustrated account of mosses with keys for identification and taxonomic descriptions have been provided which will certainly helpful for those, whoever interested to work on bryophytes.
