Semi-arid grasslands are one of the predominant landscapes of Western India including Maharashtra state. The book ‘Flora of Great Indian Bustard Wildlife Sanctuary, Maharashtra’ enumerates the floristic diversity of this semi-arid grassland. About 440 species of angiosperms belonging to 262 genera and 66 families are documented in this book. A total of 23 endemic taxa and 70 grass species have also been documented. The book also enumerates the non-native and invasive alien species in this area. Besides, a total of 402 colour photographs of plants documented as well as different habitats are also provided. The book also provides the suitable species for restoration of grassland.
