The book entitled Wetland Angiosperms of Assam (Aquatic and Marshy land) is an important and first of its kind of book from the Assam state of India. The book elaborates the definition, geology, types, importance, threats of wetlands along with a broad perspective of an overview of wetlands in Assam, India and in a global perspective. The book includes district wise wetlands of Assam state as per recent databases of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
The book enumerates a total of 476 species of angiospermic plants that belongs to 105 families that grows in and around wetlands of Assam state of India. Out of which 300 Dicot plants under 82 families and 176 Monocot plants under 23 families were recorded with taxonomic enumeration, growth forms and their uses of all the species.
