Rashmi Chintha: An Original Study on The Rays of Planets & Signs
Rashmi Chintha, the topic of this book, is a unique one rarely ventured into by any modern author, although relevant details on it are available in many classical texts such as Saravali, Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jatakabharanam, Jataka Saradeepa, Hora makaranda, Shambu Hora Prakasha, Maansagari, Jataka Parijata, Prasna Marga, etc. This is an original study on this sparingly used concept in Astrology.
The Rays of Planets and Signs are useful in predictive Astrology for many purposes including the assessment of the overall strength of a horoscope and judging one’s level of success/failure in life, answering queries related to digging of a well, calculation of planetary strengths and longevity of a native, judging the favourability or otherwise of planets, etc. But it is observed that Rashmi phala and other applications of Rays of Planets and Signs are rarely used in actual prediction by the practitioners of the Science of Astrology. However, this concept warrants a preferential treatment owing to its predictive potential. This book examines and discusses all aspects of Rashmi Chintha exclusively in detail and provides the much-needed insight into the lesser-known topic for further exploration and easy adoption by all.
The book is structured into 8 chapters for an easy understanding of the concepts in a graded way. The first two chapters deal with the fundamental principles and their application in natal horoscopy, horary astrology and Nashta Jataka are discussed in the remaining six chapters. The principles are explained clearly and lucidly in detail with 9 suitable examples and illustrated using 20 Tables. The main text of this book originally appeared in 6 parts as a series of articles during the period from February 2020 to July 2020 in EXPRESS STAR TELLER, a Vedic Astrology monthly magazine being published by Express News Papers Limited, Chennai. Only minor changes have been made in the published text in this book for purposes of better clarity and continuity. Chapter 8 is added to the book exclusively.
