Matthew T. Kapstein

Matthew T. Kapstein, a renowned scholar of Buddhist studies, is Numata Professor of Buddhist Studies at the University of Chicago and Director of Tibetan Studies at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Eyudes, Paris. He is the author of The Tibetan Assimilation of Buddhism: Conversion, Contestation, and Memory (2000).
