About the authors

P K Singh

Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, M. V. Sc., Ph.D. is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Pantnagar. He is having over 27 years of experience in teaching, research, extension and administration. He did his graduation in the year 1988 from College of Veterinary Sciences, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. He completed his Master’s in the year 2001 and Ph.D. in 2015. He has more than thirteen years of teaching experience. He has handled two research projects. He is member of 4 professional societies. Dr. Singh has published several research, semi research, review and technical articles. Dr. Singh has also contributed as member of editorial board, reviewer for various national and international journals.

Arun Kumar

Arun Kumar has been watching the Indian poll scene for thirty years as a professional journalist. Since 1989, he has organized the election coverage of the Press Trust of India, the country's premier news agency – on five occasions for the Lok Sabha, besides numerous polls to the state assemblies. This is the fifth in the series of election books by the author. His works include, The Tenth Round: The story off the 1991 elections, The Battle for the Heartland, on the 1993 assembly elections, The Turning Point telling the 1996 poll story and On Coalition Course after the 1998 voting exercise. A Master in Political Science, with international relations, in 1980 he became the first Indian correspondent to serve in Pakistan after the 1965 Indo-Pak war. From one closed society, he went to another – China before returning back to India in 1988. Born in Delhi in 1946, Arun Kumar worked for a Delhi magazine and a newspaper in Ahmedabad before joining PTI in s1969. He now works as a Public Affairs Adviser.

Sanjay Kumar Singh

S.K. Singh did his M.Sc. (Ag.) Plant Breeding and Genetics from C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, in First Division.  The title of M.Sc. (Ag.) thesis was Studies on "Combining Ability and Economic Heterosis for some Quantitative Traits in Wheat" under the guidance of Dr. Z. Ahmad (Professor Wheat Breeder, Zonal Co-ordinator/Wheat NEPZ) during the period of 1999 to 2001.  S.K. Singh is NET qualified in plant breeding conducted by ASRB, New Delhi.  He has worked as trainee in Post Graduate Training Programme conducted by U.P. Seeds and Tarai Development Corporation Ltd., Regional office Aligarh Regarding Quality Seed Production Programme from February 2002 to August 2002.  Certificate in Fruit Preservation is also to his credit.  He is at present teaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in S.G.R. (P.G.) College, Dobhi, Jaunpur.
