This book is an idea that popped up for the sheer love of photography and Sri Lanka's rich Heritage. Handicrafts are the epitome of who we are as a culture and a country. we found photography to be an eloquent medium for communicating this richness.

The book conveys our findings, our journey and our own story in discovering and learning about the people  whom we regard as role models, processes which were demonstrations of sheer excellence, and a resplendent history that shaped these beautiful crafts. This is not an academic or theoretical account of Sri Lankan handicrafts. Rather, it is what we found, what we learnt, what we saw and what we felt.
