Synopsis Administration of Police Training in India is an enlarged and revised version of a research study carried out by Dr. Krishna Mohan Mathur. The book is the first authentic and pioneering work in the field of Police training and is an orginal contribution of the author who has been an observant participant of Police Training for the last twenty four years. The book is based on primary and secondary research data of twenty five Police Training Institutions of various States and Central Police Organizations. The history of police training from 1861 to the present day has been traced out by the author. The tangible & intengible environs of police training and particularly existing physical facilities have been critically examined in some details in the book. The state and in training institutions in India has been presented in a very scholarly manner. Limitations and handicaps to Police research have been systematically discussed in the book. The book also contains micro level studies of S.V.P., National Police Academy, Hyderabad and Internal Security Academy, Mount Abu. The book will be very useful not only for all police trainers and trainees but also to the public at large and social scientists in particular. The book is a storehouse of authentic data on police training which will be of immense utility to the Police officers of the country.
