Radhakrishnan, a former President of India. Dr. C.R. Rao, the authority on Statistics, is the product of Calcutta. South Indians who have no vested interest in Calcutta are the marginal men of the metropolis, but their contribution in making Calcutta the Intellectual Capital of India, is unique.
