Synopsis In this book, a modest attempt is made to ponder over the issues of export potential of Indian agriculture with special reference to Bihar. Recently, there has been an increased interest and heightened debate on the globalization of Indian agriculture, but till today its crucial implications have been little discussed in the case of Bihar, This volume fills this gap. The twenty-six papers in this volume written by a group of distinguished scholars critically examine the pros and cons of export potential of Bihar agriculture giving major emphasis on case to case study of important agricultural crops. Grouped into three sections, these papers deal with theoretical prescription in the emerging liberalization context, identification of potential crops and the constraints and prospects of possibilities of their exports from Bihar. These also address an issue of vital content and pose the question as to what should be the attitude in future in case of Bihar which lags far behind the impressive performance of agricultural development.
