Hindi is one of the modern North Indian languages belonging to the Indo-Aryan group. Hindi is the name given to the standard speech of the region extending from the western frontiers of the Punjab to the eastern edge of Bihar and from the Indo-Nepal border in the north to Madhya Pradesh in the south. It is spoken in half the territory of India, and Hindi both in its modern and medieval aspects is the subject of this bibliography. This bibliography contains 1389 entries of books, periodical articles published from the early nineteenth century to the present day, is a most useful source of information for the scholars and interested general readers alike.
