Miller endeavoured to reorient drama in our times. His dramatic theories have an integrity and authority of their own. Miller's point of view is the point of view of a working dramatist. Miller has written a lot on the realities of the present day theatre with great interest and force. The author has dealt with some basic principles which integrate Miller's moral and aesthetic sense. Some of his theories on tragedy and social drama have been subjected to comments in journals, but there is no book which undertakes a detailed study of Miller's theories.
