Synopsis The book describes rules for cataloguing of printed monographs and serials and also contains catalogue entries for 44 complex documents (printed monographs and serials) along with one simple document (to illustrate different kinds of entries), prepared according to Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (2nd edition) (1978) (AACR2) and Library of Congress Subject Headings (20th edition) (1997) (LCSH20). Library Cataloguing (Practice) has become a complicated area of study and practice. Here, an attempt has been made to provide guidance to students of Library and Information Science at an advanced level and also cataloguers in solving complex cases. This book is primarily intended to serve as a textbook to meet the requirements of students studying in Master of Library and Information Science Course. It will also serve the needs of cataloguers working in libraries, information centers and documentation centers in dealing with complex cases (both printed monographs and serials).
