Synopsis Ancient Sanskrit Literature contains all the knowledge known to the modern world whether it may be in the area of Science, Mathematics, Governance of State, or Social Issues. The Beauty of Sanskrit Wisdom is to develop such a society where people live in harmony and shun materialism – the root cause of all problems. In addition Ancient Sanskrit Wisdom advocates the enjoyment of Kama and Artha subject to Dharma as well as attain Moksa (Liberation). It does not mean that modern knowledge is not needed. What is required is that Indian Philosophy, Science and Religion should work in co-operation ot benefit the society. The concept of education is explained in some ancient Sanskrit books, which compared quite favourably with modern trends of thought. Learning of Sanskrit cannot be in isolation. We have to take note of the mass of knowledge that is being produced in Science and Technology affecting the lives of the people like never before. All this should necessarily find place in the syllabus of Sanskrit studies. This work in two volumes would help to understand that India had its rich heritage and we much follow wisdom contained in our ancient scriptures to promote the welfare of the people and country in this modern age of science and technology.
