Synopsis This volume make a multidimensional assessment of the emerging international environment in the aftermath of the withering away of the Cold War. The second Gulf War can be considered as a turning point in this epoch making development. The eventual dissolution of the USSR not only removed. The rival superpower from the international arena but also left the United States as the sole manager of the course of international politics according to its own vision. The collapse of the USSR created a situation of bonhomie in the Western Camp, particularly in the United States and United Kingdom. There was a mass hysteria for demanding peace dividend.
