Synopsis
This volume contains papers presented in a two-day national seminar on 'Oral Literature of North-East India with special reference to Arunachal Pradesh, sponsored by Sahitya Academy, Baroda and organised by the department of tribal studies, Arunachal University. A few valuable papers are also incorporated to make the volume more comprehensive. In fact, the present volume is an addition to the ongoing process of exploring folklore repertoire from North-East India. Most of the papers are related to the states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya though a few of them deal with the North-West in general.
