Synopsis Stock market occupies an important position in the national economy of a country. It facilitates the mobilization of the savings of individuals and pools them into reservoir of capital, which can be deployed for the economic development of a country. Efficient stock markets are the key to the raising of capital by the corporate sector of the economy and the protection of the interest of the investors. In the last decade far reaching developments have taken place in the working of the stock market, which has influenced the operations of all the players of stock market.
