Synopsis Book on Extension Education and Agriculture Development An Assessment of Human Capacity Building is an impact assessment of a human capacity building programme in agriculture. The role of human capital formation is fundamental to development of agriculture. The human capital formation through extension education plays pivotal role in enhancing knowledge; changing attitude and adoption of practices of modern methods of cultivation by farmers. It is said and had been proved that two formers having assess to identical technologies but endowed with different level of knowledge would operate in two different production functions. It is the human being, who adopts modern technologies and not the vice versa and therefore their capacity building through training and extension education holds key to agricultural development. This book delineates the finding of an experimental research carried out by the author. It assesses the impact of extension education on the knowledge, adoption and productivity of two different groups of farmers in the same agro-climatic zone.
