Synopsis To achieve the goal of "Learning Society" National Literacy Mission decided to have continuing education as ‘Programme’ which is contextual in response to the requirement of the learners. Continuing Education Scheme aims at providing an institutionalized mechanism for continuing education through Continuing Education Centres. This book attempts to draw the attention to district literacy councils, NGOs, policy-makers and administrators of universities/ government departments involved in Continuing Education Programme in India, to know about the management structure, implementation strategies and challenges faced by the beneficiaries as well as by the functionaries in the continuing education centres and providing indicators for possible solutions to redefine the strategies employed in the programme. It is a 'Wake Up' Call to join in the effort to make implementation of the current and future continuing education programmes in India.
