Manohar Puri

Manohar Puri was born in undivided India on2nd Oct. 1944 in Lahore. Keen Trekker and Traveller by nature he is a journalist by profession. He has, a flare for writing since his childhood. After completion of his post-graduation in Political Science he took up writings as his career. His is also the author of "Plato Aur Areistoo Ke Darshnik Sidhant", Puri's international law, "Do Samyawadi Vaiyasthain", Atit Ki Parchhaiyan" and "Mother India Children Abroad". His articles on current topics are appearing regularly in many dailies and weeklies. He is a Popular and regular feature writer for All India Radio. Manohar Puri has traveled widely in India and Abroad. For a long period he has traveled in Africa and Europe more that once. Being a poet and short story writer, he has seen the mountains closely but in a different perspective.

Gian Chand

Gian chand was born and brought up in Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh and has good understanding of the Mountains. After serving the Mountaineering Institute and allied Sports Manali, Himachal Pradesh for sixteen years as Instructor and Administrator he opened a trekking organization namely, "International Trekkers", at Manali. He has explored many treks indifferent parts of India, Nepal and Bhutan. He has written technical books on Fundamentals of Mountain Climbing. His books Namely Mountain Walking", "Rock Climbing, "Parvatabharman" and "Environment and Man" are very popular. Mr. Gian Chand's book, "Trekking in India" has crossed the frontiers of this country and is liked and appreciated in Europe and other countries. He is liked and appreciated in Europe and other countries. He is also contributing articles on Mountaineering and tourism in India and foreign journals.
