Till last month I had never read the Gita because I always found it extremely complex what with each scholar trying desperately hard to show off his or her knowledge and adding notes that ran into pages. I was put off Hinduism although i am a born Hindu and preferred to read other books. Till two weeks ago. I saw the book covered in the inflight magazine of Jet Airways and was encouraged with the review that they offered for the book. I ordered a copy and was absolutely amazed! The one minute a day format didnt quite work for me because I just could not stop reading, I went straight through the whole month of January and then the next day finished two months. Lata jagtiani has made the book so simple, so inviting, so friendly that the book was worth gifting, I orderecd some copies and now my friends are equally excited because now they can take pride in the fact that they too have read the Gita. Lata Jagtiani has to be congratulated, her style and her knowledge combined with her exciting presentation are remarkable.
