In a fresh look given to the Munshiat-I-Ganesh Das, he underlined how this manuscript delineates the functioning of the land revenue system and exhibits the elements of continuity and change in the local administration from the mughal age and the period of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Besides, the other articles being published in this volume give an invaluable insight into the various aspects of historiography and polity of medieval Punjab.
