Rajendra K Jain of European Studies and Director, Europe Area Studies Programme, Centre for European Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal University, new Delhi. He was Network Coordinator of the JNU European Union Studies Programme (financed by the European Commission) (2002-2004). He was formerly Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellow at the University of Constance and Visiting fellow at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University of London and the Foundation of Science and Politics, Germany. He has been Visiting Professor at the universities of Leipzig and Tuebingen and Maison des Sciences de I’Homme, Paris. He has published nearly sixty journal articles an is the author/editor of over twenty books, including India and the European Union in the 21st Century and the European Union in a Changing World.

Harmut Elsenhans is Professor of International Relations, University of Konstanz, Ph.D. 1973 (Berlin). Habilitation 1976 (Berlin). Teaching assignments in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Marburg; Visiting professor in Montreal, Dakar, Salzburg, New Dehi (JNU). Amarjit S Narang is Professor of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University, new Delhi. He was formerly Fellow at Brook, McGill and Queens University. He has published six books including Democracy, development and Distortion and Ethnic Identities and federalism.
