Synopsis This work titled 'Glimpses of Vedic and ancient Indian Civilization;, is an attempt to uncover some important aspects of Vedic and ancient Indian Civilization through an analytical study of textual references. The first part of the book covers specified topics like women, food, life-breath eulogy, socialism, economic life, and democracy, based on Vedic literature. The later part provides glimpses of some other aspects of Indian culture and civilization as depicted in the Post Vedic Sanskrit texts. Through this research views of ancient thinkers on ecology, education, family, environmental ethics, philosophy, and management are brought out. The discussions present an absorbing analysis of these issues related to ancient Indian thought. The work aids enormously in a deeper comprehension of the Indian heritage.
