This book attempts to cover the transition of Indian society from 1926 onwards (Four Generations, Eight Decades) The First Volume contains it till 1947. according to the author the Indian transition of society has a cause and effect relationship with a Spiritual Revolution. 1926 is a water shade year. 1947 is significant with a great culmination point. The author provides a case study on micro-level and a cross-section on Macro-level social transformation. This is altogether a new historiographical aporoach. Teachers and students of history as well as research people in sociology world find it enlightening and useful. For the general reader it is fascinating almost as a novel.
