Synopsis Hamzah (Dastan-i-Amir Hamzah) that runs into twelve volumes, decorated with one thousand and four hundred illustrations prepared in about the year 1556. Amir Hamzah, was the son of Abb al-Muttalib and on uncle of the Prophet Muhammad (b. 570) Hamzah's illustrations or the Moghu) paintings, twelve in number, are presented in this present volume. SECTION 11-The Moghul school of painting derives its origin from the Persian-Mongol school and dates from the reign of Babur (d. 1530), the first Moghul ruler in India. Thirty paintings presented in this volume are the works of some of Akbar's hundred court-painters, namely, Alam, Farrukh Beg, Manohar and Balchand etc, of the School of Jahangir.
