Chi-Hsien Tuan

Prof. Chi-Hsien Tuan is a Senior Professor of Population Studies at the East-West Population Institute, University of Hawai, U.S.A. He specialised in the subject from the University of Princeton, U.S.A., and is a leading expert on Chinese Population. He has several books and Chinese Population. He has several books and papers to his credit. Among his most recent books are: Society and Development; Differential Development and Demographic Dilemma; Readings in Population Research.

K. Mahadevan

Prof. Kuttan Mahadevan is currently Principal, Sri Venkateswara University and Chairman, Department of Pupulation Studies. He is a specialist on Population Policy, Social Development, Methodology, Ecology, Gerontology and communication. He is author of 30 books. He is the recipient of several awards both nationally and internationally for his original and innovative research work.

V.B. Nair

Dr. V Balakrishnan Nair is currenlty working as Deputy Director in the Bureau of Economics and Statistics, (Government of Kerala) Trivandrum. he received a doctrate in population studies from S.V. University, Tirupati. Prior to taking up his present charge, Dr. Nair, was Manpower Officer, Directorate of Health Services (Govt. of Kerala), Statistician, Health and Family Welfare Training Centre, Trivandrum, Project Co-ordinator, Department of Economics, University of Calicut and Reseaerch Officer, Population Research Centre, Department of Demography and Population Studies, University of Kerala. He has written a number of articles and contributed papers to several seminars and symposia.
