A Text Book of Hindu Psyche: Scientific Rationale of Hindu Faith
Synopsis
The psyche of an average Hindu, one who is lives in the rural country, and who is religiously Orthodox, is quite unique. It is distinguished by his dogmatic belief in the theory of Karma. He accepts that all his successes and failures are the result of his Samskara. He worships his deity, one of the many icons of Hindu mythology, and takes his worship very seriously. His ultimate goal is to attain nirvana. In this book the author has tried to find a scientific rationale for the fundamental entities of Hindu faith like nirguna and Saguna brahmn, isvara, purusa, prakriti, samskara and karma. The author has built a model of human mind on the analogy of computers, information technology and wave mechanics. Based upon this model the author describes how human mind derives a perception of this universe from a jumble of Cosmic vibrations. How this illusory picture manifests from void due to limitation of space time, and how one crosses over this illusion to merge with the ultimate reality. Hindu psyche is built up by generations of recitation of Hindu scripture. The attitude and behavior of an orthodox Hindu, which is quite rational, appears somewhat odd in the current age of material advancement and market economy. An explanation is to be found in this book. After reading this book, you should be able to find the logic of this unique psyche, and appreciate it.
